Multi-CDT Conference on Clean Energy and Sustainable Infrastructure

This was the first conference to bring together students from the Centres for Doctoral Training in Energy Storage and Its Applications (ESA), New and Sustainable Photovoltaics (PV) and Sustainable Infrastructure Systems (SIS).
60 people attended in person and online with presentations in the room and through video link.
The conference was opened by Prof Andrew Cruden, Director of CDT Energy Storage and its Applications and key note talks were given by Prof William Powrie, University of Southampton, Nick Kitchin, Cumulus Energy Storage, Ravi Silva, University of Warwick and the Conference Round Up was presented by Dr Alan Dunbar, Co-Director for the CDT in New and Sustainable Photovoltaics.

Sessions were held both days with presentations given by students about their current research work from each of the CDTs, exploring various issues and solutions in the UK and overseas. Between sessions there were times for the poster sessions, networking, socialising with other PGRs and academics. A conference dinner followed the first day as a more informal way of getting to know each other.
