CDT-SIS students come from a diverse range of backgrounds and subject specialisms. Richard Deacon who is studying ‘Mitigating Range Anxiety and Reducing Energy Consumption by Drivers in Electric Vehicles’ completed his BSc in Psychology prior to starting on the CDT-SIS iPhD course. Alongside his PhD studies Richard has been regularly busy with public engagement showing potential new students and members of the public the Transport Research Groups driving simulator at various open days. He has also been back to Bournemouth and Poole College where he previously studied in order give talks and presentations on his journey from the college to studying for his PhD.
